Mac or Windows? What version?

Which camera?

What software are you using to transfer the photos from the cards?

Which exact version number of Lightroom?

What do you mean by "show as JPEG"?

Using Finder/Explorer, are the files on the hard drive still raw files?

After reading a little more i think my camera is taking raw + jpeg. Will shoot another game just raw only and will get back to everyone. Thank you, for all the replies . New camera taking a bit to get use to. Can you get raw only in lightroom if this is the issue.

The problem may be that your new camera is too new for your version of Lightroom, and that's why it is not importing the RAW photos. You haven't told us the exact version NUMBER of your Lightroom. I also am suspicious that your camera is not a Canon 1DX like you said, but actually a Canon 1DX Mark II. Is it? Please let us know these details.

Lightroom DOES NOT convert RAW files to JPG unless you specifically do an EXPORT from Lightroom.  Are you sure you are shooting RAW?

That is not the EXACT version. If you go to Help > About Adobe Photoshop Lightroom you will get a screen like this.

LR About Screen.PNG

Also Help > System Info you get this screen.

LR Sys Info.PNG

Post the Exact Version of LR that you are using.
