Lightroom support for Photoshop duotone files

I have some images that are in photoshop duotone mode, and lightroom would not import them. Any solution?

Lightroom only supports RGB color space image files. You'll need to first convert the dutotone image files to RGB colorspace and then they should import and can be edited.

This is disappointing, since it means my duotones cannot be included in Lightroom. I see a subtle difference when I convert from duotone, which is an image with two specific ink colors, and the rgb model which must convert those inks into mixed colors. Depending upon which inks I select, the conversion might be significant. However, the biggest difference is how the two color modes change when adjustment layers are added.

..........and numerous other file formats.  That's why I still use Adobe Bridge along with LR.

Make sure your PS working color space is set to ProPhoto RGB, which is also LR's working color space. You can also create duotone effects inside LR using the HSL and Split Toning controls.
