My System is crashing when I open a After Effects CC2017 Project

I have been happily working in After Effects CC2017 since purchasing the Site a month ago.  Last night everything was working superbly.  This morning my system is crashing when I load up a AE Project.  Was there an update to the software last night, or are there other potential issues I might look into?

Thanks ...

John

I had a friend run some system hardware diagnostics, and found that my 750W power supply was woefully inadequate for the 3D objects and particles I'm putting in my scenes now. You might want to recommend that users of CC 2017 products will need not only a lot of system and video memory, but also a good supply of power to those video cards and other components.

With my new 1000W Powe supply, I experiencing very smooth action again.

Hi bobokirk,

What are your computer specs? Which OS?

Is your computer crashing while opening all AE projects or a specific project?

When exactly does the computer crash? Do you get any error message before the crash?

It would be helpful if you can post a video of the issue.

Thanks,

Rameez

It appears to be happening when I am editing in a specific project, in which I am doing scene camera pans while viewing and moving 3D objects in my scene. There is no warning and no message at shutdown.  The system just goes black .... out!

I was editing in the same project most of yesterday, and late into last night, and did not experience any issues at all.

I have tested media-heavy projects in Premiere, and some AE projects with heavy Particle production, and all seems to work fine.

If this happens only in a single project, try importing that project into a new one and see if it helps.
