Adobe Anywhere time solution for small shops

I keep reading that AdobeAnywhere is wonderful... but that's only available to enterprise customers... which is not appropriate for smaller shops (Re: How much is Adobe Anywhere? )

Has anyone come up with a workable solution for smaller shops that have multiple editing suites but want centralized media?

Our shop started working off of a Seagate NAS and it became painfully slow... so we started downloading project files to each machine then transferring finished files to the NAS again, but that is also very time consuming.

Thoughts?

Better server solution recommendation? Anything?

2017 has a new collaboration feature called Team Projects.  You might research that.

This is nice but doesn't fix our issue. This seems more like the MS Office "read only / notify" function. With team projects, you still have to have a shared media server like the NAS or have the files on your individual machines. Helps with shared workflow but not the actual speed of the project itself. AdobeAnywhere seems to have a way to compress the media faster for streaming.

Those are the only two options Adobe makes available for working on a network.  Outside of those two, my recommendation is to edit from local drives only, using networked drives for archiving and backup.
