InDesign crashing on startup, not in new user account—what to do

Hello. My InDesign CS5 crashes on startup in my regular user account, but runs fine in a newly set up one. Crash report says:

deleted preferences file and tried booting in safe mode, neither brought any change. Can anyone interpret the crash lor or suggest any next steps otherwise?

LATEST

CS5 is not supported under Sierra. Unfortunately you’re on your own.

If you can get it to run under the new account, I would just use that rather than risking losing that ability.
