I downloaded Lightroom 6 trial version a month ago.
Liked it and bought the CD Mac version at BestBuy and re-installed it over the trial copy about 1 1/2 week ago.
I have a 2010 I7 MBP with 8 g of ram and a new SSD internal drive, Sierra OS.
Migrated/imported 500gig from my external Aperture Library onto another external 2 T through the Lightroom procedure.
"Lightroom Mobile Trial expired" comes up in yellow text over the status info.
I rebooted my new HD and Lr6.
Now the previews are pixelated and the Question Mark ? comes up in the catalog.
Cannot get the green little rectangle to lightup in the catalog in front of the new HD name which I could get on my initial go around.
Uninstalled my Lr6 demo, uninstalled my Lr6.
Re-installed Lr6.
Still the yellow text appears, the photos are still pixelated and the 12000 photos are still there in some form.
Adobe never asked for my license no. after even going on line with Adobe.
Cannot access the photos files.
What is wrong with my setup?
Eric

The disk seems to be offline - this is an OS issue, not an LR issue.
Can you access the disk from within the OS? Did it change its mounting point/name or alike?
There's no need to remove/reinstall the trial. You can simply activate it by logging in to your account.

Thank you for your help.
My external HD is definitely offline.
I will look into accessing the disk from within the OS.

Eric

So what do I do?
Do you think if I went to Apple Genius Bar, they could help me?

You need to use your web browser and go to the web forum that you initially asked the question at:
LR 6 - problem with imported catalog loaded photos using Lr6 CD install over the Trial version?
From there you can attach files to your post.
