freezes at splash screen/beach ball

After the last update, a few days ago, lightroom (Mac) freezes at the splash screen and the wonderful beach ball spins:)

I have followed directions for trashing preferences but still the same problem. https://www.lightroomqueen.com/articles-page/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/​

I am using lightroom 6 stand alone

Hi ez,

Please uninstall the Lightroom application, restart the machine and reinstall it from the Adobe website, refer: Install Photoshop Lightroom
