no, Gradient Mesh elements are not accessible to scripting. PathPoint objects refer to regular Path Anchor Points.

Which plugins ? As I'm aware a script listener doesn't exist for Illustrator.

I know about Mesh tormentor. I must contact the author of mesh tormentor just to access the path points on a gradient mesh, arghh
