Ellipse Mask is Cropping Audio Reactor..

When I make a simple audio reactor with an ellipse shaped mask as the path, the reactor gets cropped by the edges of the ellipse mask... How can I make the reactor follow the ellipse path, but not get stopped by the edges of the mask? Screenshots of the issues are below:

You can see on the left side, there should be a ridge, but it's being cut off by the border of the ellipse mask...

go to layer > mask > change it from "add" to "none
