After reloading Lightroom 5.7 I have relaunched it and I have my Catalog but cannot find the folders. The photos can be seen on my internal drive and my backup external drive but on relaunching I can see the folders of the external drive in lightroom but not from the internal drive. I also have Collections. The internal drive lists the total of 29000+ photos without the folders in LR. I have tried locate folder sEtc but no success so please guide me to fix this.

Happy New year to all

John

Can you explain what "reloading Lightroom 5.7" means? Exactly what did you do to "reload" Lightroom?

Thanks for responding.

I had some issues with my computer and had outside help to correct.

Afterward I then went to lightroom and had to locate my backup and

"relaunch" lightroom with that catalog.

Follow these steps in order, let me know what happens

  • Find the name of a photo file in one of these folders that are not present in LR (I assume this has to be done in your operating system)
  • In Lightroom, click on All Photographs, turn off filters, expand all stacks and then use the filter bar to search for this photo by file name
  • Right-click on the photo and select Go to Folder in Library
  • On the left, in the Folder panel, the folder should now be highlighted (you may scroll up or down in the Folder panel to find the highlighted folder)
