dehaze filter not working on some dng files.

I upgraded to PS CC17 and love the dehaze filter in ACR but some times when I try to use it on a DNG file it won't work. The slider is all the way to the left and the bars are not visible or are greyed out. Other photos in the same file shot the same day work?? Any ideas what I need to do to fix this

Is your camera set to 2012 (Current)?
