Acrobat reader signature field

I have a file that is not recognizable to sign digitally (international certificate) and it is giving the person I emailed it to problems with inserting the signature any ideas on trying to fix this would be appreciated I did go into security and change the permissions but still has not helped thanks

Could you please confirm if Signing is allowed under Document Properties>Security by pressing Ctrl+D(Windows) Command+ D(Mac)

What steps you are taking to sign the document?
