crashing on import

I'm trying to import images into LR 6  and it's crashing all the time.  any suggestion on this.

If you mean that Lightroom is crashing (as opposed to the entire computer crashing), then in Lightroom try turning off the GPU acceleration by going to Preferences, clicking on the Performance tab, then unchecking the box that says Use Graphics Processor.

Please describe your problem in detail, from scratch. Please be sure to state the exact version  NUMBER of your Lightroom and the exact version number of your operating system.
