Photohsop 2017 Mac interface problem

Hello!

I'm a Mac user (OSX 10.11.6) and I have this problem since I upgraded to cc2015.5 and then 2017: when I open a file from the finder all Ps windows stay in the background  and I see finder windows over the Ps interface. To get Ps interface on the top, as it should be, I have to click on the Ps dock icon. This is what my screen looks like when I open a file:

Schermata 2017-01-07 alle 11.46.43.jpg

And this is how it should be (and it was before upgrading to cc2015.5 and 2017):

Schermata 2017-01-07 alle 11.54.09.jpg

Someone else notices the same behavior?

Thanks

Thanks but the application frame is already on, you can see it in the screenshots I posted, the problem is that it remains below finder windows, I'm using a light interface color so it's a little different to yours.

And I don't want to use tabs, when I work I need to keep more than one image opened for comparison. I never had this problem with older Ps versions

Now I see it, hiding behind all the windows.

Have you tried resetting prefs? I'm on a mac, and work with the application frame on, and have yet to encounter that situation.

I know you said you prefer floating windows, but maybe using tabs until this is straightened out will allow you to continue working without wanting to pull your hair out.

Or use Cmd Opt H to hide the other windows while you are working?

The best workaround for me is clicking the Ps Icon on the dock, this bring all Ps windows correctly on top
