All of a sudden, when I try to use the spot healing brush, it just sticks on the page, doesn't move. If I switch to other tools they work fine, but the healing brush sticks. Obviously, it's very difficult to work with it. Any help appreciated.

Also, I just downloaded the latest update, and I restarted the computer, neither of which helped.

Please state the exact version number of your Lightroom (go to Help->System Info)

If you are doing a lot of brushing and/or spot healing on a photo, this is a known issue in Lightroom.

Some options:

  1. Turn off the graphics acceleration (Preferences->Performance tab->uncheck "Use Graphics Processor")
  2. Do the brushing or spot healing as the next to last step, and the last step is to turn on Lens Corrections andd Transforms
  3. Do the brushing/spot healing in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements
  4. Get a faster CPU.
