how to get lightroom from cd with no cd drive

i was given lightroom 6 as a gift. it is on cd. i dont have a cd drive in my computer but i was told told i could use the serial number to activate it. but how to i get lightroom on my computer in the firstplace in order for me to use my code? i dont even know where to start here.
