Since I've migrated my cloud subscription and lightroom catalog from a macbook pro (catalog has always - and still does - live on an external hard drive) I hame some interface issues.

The title bar at the top of the window is doubled.

Also, the filmstrip is incomplete and cuts into some of the other tools...

So overall the window looks like this:

Anyone have any idea about this?

Before doing anything as drastic as removing all Adobe applications it might be worthwhile resetting the Lightroom preference file. More details at How to set Lightroom preferences

Migration doesn't work well with Adobe applications. You should do a clean install of Adobe applications and then restore a backup of the catalog.

You may need to use the Adobe Cleaner Tool:

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

I'm sure you're relieved. Keep Peru Bob's comment re migration assistant in mind should you need to upgrade again in future.
