Menu button, scroll to anchor why does it reload page??

Hi, I have a ver simple one page website thats  using the horizontal menu linked to anchors to quickly navigate the page.

When I preview it and click on a menu button it scrolls down to the relevant point but when it get there it the refreshes the page.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?

The issue was in the preview. All was fine in the browser so all is good
