I am running the latest 2017 InDesign with the Blurb plug-in on my new iMac 3 T with Sierra OS. I had no problem uploading an earlier version of my book to Blurb but this time ID quits in the preflight stage with error message. I can export to PDF with no problem. Tried creating a new book and linking book pages and cover to upload and it still quits.

Have you checked with blurb about any known issues?

Hi Bob,

Thank you for responding. After hours with Adobe CC ID and Blurb tech here is what I've learned:

The InDesign program does not place nice with the Blurb plug-in so Adobe recommended I don't use it. I want to print books and use Blurb so the workaround is to export the ID pages and cover files to PDF's using the Blurb PDF export option and then upload those to Blurb directly using their PDF upload options. Doing this now - so far so good. It's been an at times frustrating process to work with ID and Blurb on my book, but the final product is beautiful so can't complain. Worse things going on in the world.
