Hello,
Any help with this would be awesome. I have a Lightroom Library of about 50,000+ photos. I convert all my photos on import to DNG. For some reason photos from 2-3 months ago started to say the files were missing. I store everything on a NAS drive and the photos were all where they needed to be. I then found out that Lightroom thinks my RAW photos are in CRT but they are all in DNG. Basically the file name extension in Lightroom is wrong but I still have all the RAW DNG files organized exactly where they need to be. Is there anyway to get Lightroom to recognize the photos again? I don't know why it changed them.
Thanks for any help.

Find the original RAW (CR2) photos, connect the LR library to those, and once that is working, in LR convert to DNG.
By the way, Lightroom does not change your file extensions, except when you specifically tell LR to convert RAW to DNG.

I don't have the original RAW CR2 files. For the past 2 years everything I import is converted to DNG upon import. I don't have the original RAW CR2 Files

Can we see a screen capture of the problem?
