InDesign Cc 2017 crashes while packaging

New Mac Pro laptops. Running Sierra. All software is update for both myself and the other designer. Crashes for both of us. Any idea why? Suggestions on how to fix?

Hi Sanyam,

Both myself and team are having the same issue where InDesign CC17 is crashing upon completing 'Packaging' a file/folder.

Please see image attached for the dialog box when this happens. I have a team all running Sierra 10.12.3, all INDD CC17 (latest). I also have the text error report if you'd like me to send to you. The crash occurs constantly and is not dependant on the type of file setup/open.

Look forward to your thoughts, suggestions on how best to resolve.

Hi,

Are you using an external plugin? Also can you share the options selected while packaging? Also, Try if you could export idml seperately.

Hi Sanyam,

No external plugins are running.

I can 'Export' or 'Save as' an IDML file without any issues.

Send me the text error report. Also, we are aware of a crash in 12.0.0.81. lease try the steps mentioned at this troubleshooting page https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/crash-hyperlinks-panel-quick-apply.html to resolve your issue, if still facing.

Hi Sanyam,

No change when Extensis is disable.

When i copy my art folder from network drive to local drive and then open my INDD doc and subsequently perform a 'Package' it completes without crashing. Thoughts?

FYI, I packaged one file today over our local server network with Suitcase disabled and NO crash

Following that I packaged a second very similar file from the same design series and I re-enabled Suitcase and a crash occurred.

Hi Sanyam,

FYI we just attempted packaging two other files with Suitcases turned OFF. Both of them crashed today. The files did packup up correctly, however, as usual InDesign crashed at the end. Both attempts were over a very simple, but robust local server.
