I just installed InDesign 2017 on my computer, and it run but doesn't show you the application. I can see the top bar of my Mac says "InDesign CC" and I can actually even go through the preference of the InDesign program. But the application window itself is hidden. The Application is not minimized or off screen, I've checked.

Try trashing your preferences. If that doesn't do it, uninstall and reinstall.

Hi Stephen,

Were you able to get InDesign back up and working with Bob's suggestion?
