Hallo!

Ich habe einen Rollover-Effekt für ein an die Browserbreite angepasstes Element auf meiner Website. Alles funktioniert korrekt in Vorschau, Safari, Firefox und Opera. In Chrome wird das eingebettete Bild falsch skaliert und einzelne Bereiche überschneiden sich.

Ich verwende macOS Sierra, Muse CC (updated), Chrome (updated).

Gibt es eine Lösung oder muss ich das als Individualverhalten des Browsers akzeptieren?

Was ist "falsch skaliert"? Was "überschneidet sich"? Ich sehe hier gar nichts, was deiner Beschreibung entspricht. Chrome und Safari zeigen eine identische Ansicht.

Und was "überschneidet sich" in deinem letzten Screenshot?

Wenn Du Dir den Screenshot genau anschaust kannst du am unteren Rand des Bildes sehen, dass es zwei unterschiedliche Helligkeitsbereiche gibt bevor das Bild in die Hintergrundfarbe des Browsers übergeht.
