Hi I have a new Epson 4900 printer and i can not get my  photoshop to sync and print with It  I have gotten documents from preview and word to print.

i am using a Mac desktop OS X El Capitan v 10.11.6 and Adobe CS4.   I have worked with Epson support and they are convinced that the problem is in photoshop.

If any body can help, much appreciated. Reid Yalom [Mod note: removed personal data]

I read that you fresh installed the drivers, what I am not clear on is that you removed the Epson folder as part of the uninstall procedure.

Not doing that means that if the error is in that folder, reinstalling does not help.

As one Photoshop programmer told me, "do not go on what other programs print, Photoshop has a unique Print dialog box with different programming calls. Sometimes these calls hit a bug in the print driver."

That said, be sure Photoshop CS4 is updated: Adobe - Photoshop : For Macintosh : Adobe Photoshop CS4 11.0.2 update - multiple languages

Let's start there and go to other steps afterwards.

Next if that did not work, you may want to try a clean uninstall and reinstall of your drivers:
