I'm getting this error on Mac, Version 14.0.1.5.

Opening a project that has no text layers AT ALL.

Saw Unable to create font  but no help.

WTF?? Maybe make the error more vague?

This has nothing to do with "text" as in layers ... it's something to do with UI or system fonts.

No there is no weird font name.

UPDATE: SOLVED! The font "Myriad Pro Regular" is needed for the UI. It was activated in Font Explorer Pro but not in Font Book, for some reason. Activating in Font Book seems to have fixed the issue.

That is a little vague. Is your Character panel open? If so, what's the font listed there? Did you by any chance remove the font that it's looking for or is some weird font name showing up? These are just wild guesses. Can you post a screenshot of your whole screen when you have the error? What happens if you open a brand new project, no issues?
