Every time I close a document in Photoshop, the whole program crashes. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Thanks,

Amanda

So what does the link suggest as a workaround when you click on it?

If you right click on that link, do you get an option to copy the link location. If you do you can then paste it into a web browser.

Ok, then lets reset preferences: Hold down cmd-opt-shift and start Photoshop.

When asked to delete the settings file, click Yes and let it finish loading.

I'm not a Mac user you need to ask a Mac user to help you find your Mac Photoshop Crash reports and help you with them. They are not as easy to read as windows reports they show much information.  This link will show you what a Mac report looks like Photoshop unexpectedly quits after 30 sec of use on mac

I can do some research and see if others have this same problem.  Does this happen when using Chrome?

First look at Help > System Info. What version of CS6 is it? 13.0.0 or 13.0.6?

Next look at these steps:

Photoshop CS6 keeps crashing. |Official Apple Support Communities

See if they help.

Hi,

The version is Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.0 (13.0 20120315.r.428 2012/03/15:21:00:00) x64

Thanks for sending that help forum link. I tried rebuilding my permissions, and that didn't seem to fix the problem.

Can I upgrade to a newer version of photoshop? Would that resolve my issue?

Thanks again,

Amanda

If you own a Mac 13.0.6 is the latest update and has fixes for many problems.

Adobe - Photoshop : For Macintosh : Adobe Photoshop 13.0.6 update for CS6

Yes you can update Photoshop, but it is subscription with an annual commitment.

Lightroom and Photoshop | Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan  It does give you the latest Photoshop.

My Mac is a 10.12.2. I tried the update for 13.0.6, but it didn't work.

Do you have any other suggestions?
