Greetings! I have PhotoShop (2017). I have a drawn image of a whippet hound set with a white background. How do I get rid of the white part and just keep the hound to incorporate into a future project? Thank you!!

If you had drawn on a transparent layer it would be easy. If you drew on a white layer it's a little more work. If the drawing is a simple black line drawing you could make a selection from one of the channels, and then use the selection to fill the drawing on a new transparent layer. We will need to see a screenshot of the drawing to give more specific directions.

When you remove the white you need to save as PSD or PNG or GIF any Image file format that supports transparency.  JPEG doe not support transparency it would save the transparent area as white or whatever the background swatch color is.
