GPU not used by LR CC 2015.8, but ACR and PS used it at 65% like a charm

hello,

one more time, it's a complain about poor GPU usage by LR.

on my desktop, ACR and PS use GPU and run like a charm ; LR CC 2015.8 does not use it, or very very badly..

I don't understand why CameraRaw use my GPU at 65% and LR/Develop does not !

NVIDIA ACR LR PS.png

There is no element in my concern on Adobe Troubleshooting LR/GPU. (ACR & PS used it very good)

You can see it in action here (ppt + screen capture) https://1drv.ms/p/s!AiMQKzhNsuzMhYMzKInm8piRJXBU6w

What can I do ?

Thanks for any help.

Yesss, finally I got my LR run like ACR - Develop like a jet.

When I receive 2015.9 /acr .9 ; At Developp the difference between lr/acr stay same ... ACR run really fast, LR is soooo slow.

I start to read and reread the perf advice about LR and ... I RESET my LR/Preferences.

(go %appdata%\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences and delete .agprefs files.)

then

Start lightroom, open my catalog. ... try develop ...

and now my LR/Develop works like ACR - as a rocket jet.

I've got my 30x speed increment.

You're powerpoint took too long to open, so I cancelled it, I can't see it.

Let's start with a basic piece of information: in Lightroom have you enabled the use of the GPU?

Lightroom and Photoshop are using two different code bases, so their performance is going to be different regardless.

The evil part is that while Photoshop has had many major releases to get its GPU optimization to where it is, Lightroom is working on its version 1.x of its GPU optimization.

hello, thanks for your reply.

Yes, I understand it, my concern is more when I compare ACR and LR ...

When I receive these ad: Adobe Lightroom CC - GPU Accelerated Tools | NVIDIA I buy a new desktop compliant with Adobe's  recommendations (in fact far more).  At usage, I'm really happy about it using PS, NikCollection either ACR, it flies (but it is rarely used because of LR workflow).

We read often LR/Develop on RAW is using the same engine like ACR but either it is not true or it does not work with me.

Then I don't get perf within LR/Develop and I'm really disappointed, the ad is a lie you can't receive 30x faster LR/Development.

Is there a method to read the ACR 'gpu system info' to compare with LR's one ?

Keep in mind that the "30x faster" has a foot note. Chances are your hardware does not match the test. It is a spin on the truth while technically not a lie. Welcome to advertising.

Since I am not using a 4k or 5k monitor, I don't see much improvement when I have the GPU optimization turned on. While my video card is supported for the GPU usage, I have it turned off on my win10. Most likely because I did not like the minor lags when using the adjustment brush and spot removal. I don't mind since my CPU is more than capable of handling the work.
