Canon 5D Mark IV, Lightroom CC (2015.6) & Camera Raw 9.6

Lightroom CC (2015.6) fails to import .CR2 images from my Canon 5D Mark IV. When going through the import process I see "Preview unavailable for this file" while beginning the import process.

After hitting the Import button, another dialog says, "The files cannot be opened by Lightroom."

I am able to open (and view) the files in Bridge and in Camera Raw.

Am I doing something incorrectly?

That camera requires Lightroom CC 2015.7 as a minimum. The current update is Lightroom CC 2015.8. I would suggest that you install the latest. You might find some valuable information in this article abou dual pixel support:

Thanks for that quick response. As a Desktop Apps subscriber (US Gov't Licensee) there doesn't appear to be a way to do this - I'm not sure why. The App (and the Adobe Creative Cloud app) aren't saying there are updates available. Next steps for that?

Which version of Lightroom are you running?

In Lightroom, click Help > System Info and look at the first line in the white box.
