Removing fences from photos

Hi this could be a long shot but i took a photo of lions at a wildlife park but i didnt manage to get rid of the fences.

What is the best way to remove the fences from the photo.

you  could use PS's "Bereichsreparatur-Pinsel" (= repair brush translated from my german PS), as I did in my screenshot:

You can see these black "toes" in the moment I wiped across the fence. Below you can see the result.
