Extracting Raw L.A.B. data from a Photoshop File

Hello Photoshop discussion forum, as you can see from the title of this discussion post I am interested in extracting raw L.A.B. data from a set of images. The research that I am working on will later use this data to determine differences between coloration patterns of populations of fish. For this purpose, RGB values are less effective because one of the variables we are examining is the lightness of the fishes' patterns. We are using Photoshop CC 2017 on a Windows running computer.
