Hi,

Since upgrading to ID CC17 the small icon in the swatches palette, which used to appear to the side of each swatch to indicate whether the swatch was cmyk/rgb/spot colour etc. has disappeared.

Is there a way to get it back?

Thanks,

Graeme.

Restoring your InDesign preferences should do it:

Trash, Replace, Reset, or Restore the application Preferences

Any ideas on how to fix this without trashing preferences? I'm on my second round of this happening and I have quite a few tweaks to my preferences. I just got them all reset again and now the swatch color space icons are missing again.

Make a backup of your preferences. This document lists the files to be backed up:

Trash, Replace, Reset, or Restore the application Preferences

When it happens again, drag your clean preferences to replace the "dirty" ones.

If it happens frequently, you might need to find conflicting third party software, or create a new user to clean out corruption which is interfering with InDesign.

Any ideas on how to fix this without trashing preferences?

Palette interface problems often are corrupted cache files, so start by trashing the ID caches without trashing the preference file.
