Disable automatic updates

Hi. I don't know why but every time the message pops up "Acrobat reader has been updated", it really annoys me and it seems to happen too often. If you guys just finally get it right it would be great because I want these updates to be done with.

I also can't find the setting to disable automatic updates. Why can't we have that option? It used to be not a problem. It's almost like you're trying to annoy me, why?
