Keeping bookmarks in borrowed ebooks

Hello,

I´ve got the following problem:

I´m reading a borrowed ebook from a library and set bookmarks, remarks etc. If I can´t finish the ebook within the timeframe and borrow it again,  Adobe D.E. is "creating/opening" a new ebook....and so all remarks are gone.

Is it possible that A.D.E. can identify that it is the same ebook and show all the remarks again?
