I have a macbook pro 2015 13 inch with 8 gb ram ddr3 and intel iris pro 6100 and phtoshop isnt smooth, it lags when moving images or resizing. i asked adobe and they said its my gpu however i dont think this is it?
ive used photoshop on other laptops that used 4gb of ram so how can 8gb nt be enough?
How long ago was that & which version of PS?
I'm currently using CC 2017 on Win10, 64-bit with 32 GB of RAM. My OS alone eats up 3 GB of RAM, plus all the other apps I have opened at the same time. 8 GB would not get the job done without performance problems.

A lot depends on what you're trying to do in PS but IMO 8 GB of Ram is not enough.
How much physical space have you thrown at your scratch disk?
How much memory does your video card have?
Do you have the very latest graphics drivers?
How big are the files that you routinely work with?

It was a few weeks ago, and it was the same photoshop, I see that your trying to compare windows and pc but I had a windows pc rig that was for gaming and that had 8gb ram, I was able to game and use photoshop with no issues, so it's not the ram

Hi
8 GB of RAM should be OK to run PS (without too many apps running), but your 120 gh SSD is very small. (wonder how free space is left)

I have about half the storage left.
