This was fixed n LR 6.1. Please update to the latest version 6.8, using Help> Updates. Once installed Help> Lightroom Help (F1 key) should take you to this link for your language setting: Informazioni e supporto su Adobe Photoshop Lightroom

I run the update, but after the installation Lightroom doesn't start anylonger.

A window pos up stating:

"Impossible to start the program because

api-ms-win-crt-runtime-[1-1-0.ddl] is not present ion the PC.

To solve the problem try to reinstall the program"

I can try to reinstall, but I will miss the update!

but after the download how do I install the software?

The system prompt for "open" or "save"

Do a save. Then: Double-click on the downloaded file.

OR

Click on Open

system asks for select a program to open the file listing "acrobat" and other raeding file.

Please see this article to install the missing DLL:

Error :api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing

Retry installing the 6.8 update.
