Flash Player fails to install - OS X 10.11.6

I am running into the same problem, I click notify of updates, it downloads. at 50% begins installing. After reaching 54% it fails with no info as to the cause.

I am running an early 2008 mac pro, OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6

I branched your post to a new topic.  The OP of the topic you posted to has a Windows system.  Since you have OS X, you're issue is most likely not the same.  Please read through the FAQ Where do I find the Flash Player installation log on the Macintosh?  and configure your system to capture the various requested log files.  Run the installer again until it stops.  Take a screenshot of the installer dialog window (see How do I attach a screenshot?). Upload the 4 log files (Adobe_ADM.log, Adobe_GDE.log, install.log, and FlashPlayerInstallManager.log) and the screenshot to cloud.acrobat.com/send using the instructions at How to share a document .  Post the link to the uploaded files in your reply.

Install.log retains nothing on the install, FlashPlayerInstallManager.log has the following, and what stands out is that "Unable to launch FPInstallHelper. Launch path not accessable"

Thank you.  The installation is failing due to a known bug that we are working on a fix for.  The bug only reproduces in certain conditions when using the online installer.  Please use the offline installer posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac page in the 'Still having problems' section.
