I can't start After Effects CC 2017

I just downloaded After Effects CC 2017 and after clicking on it -->This happens:

And I can't even close it anymore. What could I do?

It looks from your screenshot you may be on Windows...  I'm on a mac - however I had a very similar occurence when I first opened up 2017 from Creative Cloud.  I had a chat session with Adobe Support (actually fairly fast and helpful, although they have a screenshare software they use, so if you object to that don't use)

I had to label Adobe Preferences as "oldadobe" in Library and Application Support - I would contact them, it'll take 10 minutes.  But if you don't want to chat with them reply to this post and we'll arrange for me to get the chat transcription to you.

I'm having the same issue, it sounds like. I'm on a mac and when I try to launch After Effects CC 2017 nothing happens. It doesn't display the loading/splash screen, and doesn't respond to anything from there. I have to force quit AE at that point. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, but no luck.
