This issue has happened to me several times over the last week.
Occasionally when I go to export a PDF of an InDesign file, it will freeze and crash. When I attempt to re-open the document (or any document that was open in any tab when it froze) InDesign will either freeze again or say that there was an issue recovering the document.
The PDF will export but it's a damaged file and can't be opened. I'm not entirely sure if this is an issue with my computer or software.
Any help on this would be great. Thanks!
Hi,
There are multiple factors both internal and external to InDesign application that can lead to document corruption. However, I can take a look and see if the file can be repaired. Please email your InDesign file to corrupt_indesign_docs@adobe.com and I will take a look at the document.
If the file is larger than 10 Mb, you can zip (and password protect) the file and upload to Creative Cloud account (or Dropbox) and send us the document link.

Have the files in question ever be "worked on" on a Mac?

Sorry about misspeaking earlier. It's actually Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center. (I'm a Mac person and just recently started a new job where they use PCs)
The files have never been worked on by a Mac.
