Loosing side panels in LRcc, why?

Just recently I have started loosing the side panels when I click on an image in the filmstrip.  I can minimize and bring back up and the panels appear again.  However, once again if I left click in various places the panels go away.

No, I have not clicked on the caret to hide the panels.  In fact after losing the panels it does no good to jog the carets.  It is getting worse as time goes by.  I have rebooted, restarted LR, etc.  nothing helps.

I am not a new user to LR, I have been using it for years.  Have never encountered this problem before.

Should  I uninstall LRcc and reinstall it.

Anyone else having this problem??

Sir,  I also received a reply from Kelby that there is a known bug in my version.  Thanks so much for taking the time to look and answer, it is very much appreciated.  I guess I will revert to the previous version as suggested.   Thanks again,  Dale

Did you set them to auto-hide?

Right-click on the caret and see the options.

If the behavior stays strange, try to reset the preferences: Resetting Preferences in Lightroom CC/6

Sir, thanks so much for replying.  I believe this is a known bug in Version CC 2015.8 as stated by two other sources.  I suppose I will revert to the previous version.  Thanks again for replying.  Very much appreciated.   Dale

Yes Dale, Adobe engineers are working on a solution for this bug seen on Mac OS. You can follow this thread for a fix:

It would be EXTREMELY helpful if you stated the exact version number of your Lightroom installation.

I will assume (a dangerous thing to do in some cases) that you have Lightroom CC 2015.8. This is a known bug. You can revert back to Lightroom CC 2015.7 to fix the problem. https://www.lightroomqueen.com/roll-back-update-previous/
