Raw files not readable from 80D to Lightroom6

I have Lightroom 6 and can't get the files to import?  I have downloaded the latest raw update,  and have also tried to download Lightroom 6 again to no avail?  I also tried to use another SD card with different pictures that I took and I have the same problems. Photoshop does recognize the raw files,  so I know their there.  Any suggestions anyone?

You need Lightroom 6.5 or later. You need to download the update so that you have this version or later. Use Help->Updates.

If you already have this version or later, then please explain the problem in a lot more detail. If there is an error message, please quote the exact complete unedited word-for-word error message.

If you downloaded LR again you possibly installed LR6.0 and did not update after initial installation. You need at least LR6.5 to support the 80D but download the latest version by getting the LR6.8/2015.8 patch from the link below.
