Sadly my G5 died, and I had to "upgrade" to PS CC.
Please, somebody, tell me how to get the window to conform to the image, instead of
CUTTING IT OFF (when the image is scaled up.
Why is there a video timeline here? Can I get rid of it?
Thanks, greatly.
One more question, will PS 6 run on the new iMac 10.12.2?
For the video timeline, there is a flyout menu on the top right of it. Within that, there's a "close tab group"
For the rest, please post a screenshot, as R_Kelly requested.

Could you post a screenshot of what your seeing?
Photoshop 6 requires a PowerPC processor like your G5 and will not run on an Intel processor like your new mac has.
I guess you were running ps 6 using Classic environment on your G5?

Try this: In Photoshop, choose Photoshop CC > Preferences > Tools, and turn on Zoom Resizes Windows. Does that make the window work the way you want?

It's just a panel, so you can show or hide it the same way you do with any other panel. You can click the Window menu and turn off the Timeline panel command, or choose a different workspace (Window > Workspace) that doesn't use the Timeline panel.

If you mean Photoshop CS6, it will run, but since it's now 5 years behind macOS 10.12.2 there may be some issues here and there. But CS6 won't get any more updates.

As of Jan 9th 2017, you can no longer purchase CS6 from Adobe.
Creative Cloud now includes Creative Suite Master Collection and Design Premium features
So officially the door is closed. No sales, support, or updates.
