bonjour
"The following files were not imported because they can not be read"
This is usually a file permissions problem on the destination folder.
In the Import dialog, expand the Destination panel and make sure it is pointing where you expect.
Using Finder, make sure your destination folder and its parent have READ and WRITE access.

Which version of Mac?
Which EXACT version of Lightroom?
What is the exact wording of the error message?
Describe in great detail what you are doing and where things go wrong.

Being a Windows user, I cannot get too far into the details of the Mac OS, but it seems to be done using the menu File > Get Info.

Hi Nathp,
Try copying a few files to your desktop then try to import them into lightroom.
Let us know about the outcome.
