In Photoshop and Illustrator I have successfully changed the preferences to type conjunct letters in Gujarati and Hindi (also known as Indic Languages).

How do I do the same for InDesign? I'm trying to type in Gujarati but it's not letting me conjunct Gujarati letters.

It could be as simple as going to the Type menu and turning on the World-Ready Composer. There is also a script that adds many Indic languages to the Language drop-down, and (I think) turns on the WRC by default. it is called "Indic Preferences" and can be found in your Scripts folder
