I exported an image and selected .png with a transparent background, however when I print the artboard that was created with the image in it, it seems to show a darker background with the image than the rest of the artboard. (see image for example)
the darker background only shows when printed, but doesn't show when looking on the screen. What am I missing? How do I fix this so the colors are the same.
The PNG format is saved as RGB and the rest of the document is CMYK. make sure you are using all of the same color values when creating the background color.
Most likely, the two dark grey / black values are different because of the color space difference.
In Draw, you can sample the color for an accurate indexed color. Or you can send to Adobe Illustrator CC and make sure the colors and color space are the same.
(this might be an issue/question for Illustrator CC)

HI Jackie,
What software are you bringing the .png into? I'm thinking it might be more useful to you for me to move your post to that forum.
Let me know.
Sue.
