Hello,
I'm a MAC User using LR 6.7
I'm using a NAS on which my pictures were stored under a shared volume (ex: Volume/Photo1)
This was visible under Lightroom as follow:
Folders:
Photo1
Photo1
2016 Apr 1
I just bought a new NAS on which i want to transfer my photos hence using Ligthroom to make this move.
Question: How can i add the new "Volume/Photo2" as a folder in Lightroom?
The above question may appear a simple one but when i tried "Add a Folder" in LR i got the Import interface which is not what i want
I tried importing new photo to this new "Volume/Photo2" which resulted in the following structure :
Folders:
Photo 1
Photo 1
2016 Apr 1
...
Photo 2
2016 Apr 2
from there i tried moving the folders from Volume/Photo1 to the new destination but..... i can only move the folder under the sub-folder on the Volume/Photo2 created while importing new photos....
in other words i would like to have
Folders
Photo 2
2016 Apr 1
2016 Apr 2
and the only thing i can do is
Folders
Photo 2
2016 Apr 2
2016 Apr 1
Which means adding the folder from Photo 1 as a sub folder of Photo 2 / 2016 Apr 2.....
Somehow i'm stuck and did not find a way to easily add a folder to my LR catalog and move everything i had on a different location to this new one....
Please help
Thx
Chet
