so, i wanted to do an audio visualizer with this tutorial: After Effects Tutorial: Audio Spectrum Effect [Trap Nation] - YouTube

at min 11:20 After Effects Tutorial: Audio Spectrum Effect [Trap Nation] - YouTube  he is typing 'value + (comp("Music").layer("Audio Amplitude").effect("Both Channels")("Slider")) / 10' now, the problem is, that i have AE in german...

i need to type that in english.. i renamed everything i could like he did in the video, for example in german, its 'Beide Kanäle' instead of 'Both Channels', i changed that to 'Beide Kanäle' and that even worked, same thing with 'Audio Amplitude'

but the only problem i now have, is ("Slider") because i dont know the translation to german there... can you give me the translation? or even the whole german command? because that is the most important thing in the whole expression (i mean command, but expression is the right word), because its the effect...

without that effect it looks like this: DJ Pygme - SuperKameHameHa! [BASS BOOSTED] - YouTube and thats boring...

just as i said, i usually only need the right translation of "Slider", then it would work, i think ^^

(i dont care about grammar here, i just want to have the right answer and i think everyone can understand this...)

This is your expression:

value + (comp("Music").layer("Audio Amplitude").effect("Both Channels")("Slider")) / 10

it says:

take the current value:

(value)

and add to it:

( + )

the value from a (name) property in a (name) composition:

(comp("Music").layer("Audio Amplitude").effect("Both Channels")("Slider"))

and divide by 10

(/10)

notice there is a pickwhip icon next to the property when you apply an expression. It looks like sort of like this: @

so type "value +" and drag this pickwhip by clicking on the

so type "value +" and drag this pickwhip by clicking on the pickwhip and hold drag all the way to the "both channels" property of the "audio amplitude" layer. It will add the code for you. Now just add /10 like the original code and you are done.
