Hi

I have problem importing photos into lightroom v6.6.1 (windows).  All OK a few days ago, now get "the following files were not imported because they could not be read"

Help please....they show fine in the camera and also in import preview too.

The Destination Folder no longer has WRITE permission. You may have accidentally changed the destination folder, or sometimes the permissions get changed accidentally.

So, either change the Destination Folder back to what it was previously, or change the permissions on that EXACT folder to have WRITE permission.

First thing you should do is update to the 6.8 version of LR.

Then in the Import dialog on the right hand side there is a section called Destination. Change the folder where the images will be stored to one your user name has Read & Write permissions to.

That message is rather ambiguous. What it really means is that the images cannot be written to the chosen location. Check the read/write permissions for the destination folder. Make sure that the folder has both read and write permission..
