Percentage of an element relative to the whole layout

Hello guys, how can i get the percentage of an element depending on the whole layout? I tried to change the rulers to percent but the values are not accurate (859%, 1100%...).

Setting rulers to % works here - with the caveat that if working on an artboard the ruler will show the % against the current selected artboard, not necessarily the one being viewed

N.B. If the origin is off (i.e. zero not at top left of artboard/image then double click at top left to reset the origin)
