trying to install LR6 from disc, keeps coming up to switch off Lightroom application and even when switched off it says that parts may still be running in the background. I did have an older version installed but when I upgraded my Mac it would not support older version of Lightroom. Although the Lightroom icon is still on desk top. can anyone help please
Have you physically ejected or removed the disc from the computer? You can drag the disk image on the desktop to the trash can in the dock.
Re-boot your Mac.
Try installing LR6 from the link below. Then validate with your disc serial commencing 1160 (24 numbers, no letters)
After installing the main download (727 mb for Mac) you need to download the 6.8/2015.8 update to get the latest version.
